Uniform & Kit
Marine Cadet Uniform:
All uniform and kit that is issued is the property of the MoD (Navy) and any losses is the responsibility of the Parent/Guardian who will sign upon receipt of issue. All losses of kit will be incurred by the Parent/Guardian at the going rate. All uniform will be exchanged for fair wear and tear by the Clothing Officer. Uniform will also be exchanged for any Marine Cadet that grows out of their uniform.

Socks Military 2 OG
Trouser Twisters.
Unit staffs are on hand to advice on where to get your kit from and the cost of it. (OG stands for Olive Green).
What Uniform & Kit you will be issued with:
On joining the Marine Cadets uniform issue will be authorised by the Senior Non-commissioned Officer in charge Marine Cadet Detachment (SNOicMCD), this will be done after the Recruit has attended 4 consecutive Parade Nights and paid their twenty pound uniform joining fee. This is a one-off payment.
No:4 Uniform issued will consist of: Shirt General Service OG, Pullover Commando OG, Working Dress Belt, 95 DPM Trousers, DPM Combat Jacket, DPM Peaked Hat.
On completion of your Recruit training you will get your Marine Cadet beret & corps badge. This will be done on a Divisions Night Parade were you will take your Promise to the Corps.
No:1 Uniform is issued on completion of your Marine Cadet training, this will consist of: No:1 Blues Jacket, No:1 Blues Trousers, No:1 Dress Cap, White Belt with QRF. You will need to purchase a set of Braces with button fastenings to complete your No:1 Uniform. For Specialist Training you will get: OG Poncho, 58 Sleeping Bag, OG PLCE Webbing System, OG PLCE Bergan, Sleeping Mat, Mess Tins, 58 Water Bottle & Mug, 24 Ration Pack, Hexamine Cooker Kit, Camo Compact, Kevlar Helmet, DPM Jungle Hat. We tend to find that career cadets obtain the above kit for themselves so they can personalise it more for their needs.
We recommend that Marine Cadets over a period of time obtain the following as personal kit: Gloves Military, Spare Bootlaces, DPM Waterproofs Military, Boot Care Kit, Benny Hat, Mag-Lite style Torch, Knife Fork Spoon (KFS) Set, Notepad & Pen, Tent Pegs 10, Military Bungees 2, Paracord 12m, Combination Multi-tool with Pouch, Norwegian Army Shirt, Wash Kit. As stated before, Unit staffs are on hand to advice on where to get your kit from and the cost of it.
No:1 Uniform (blues)
Your No:1 Uniform is worn on ceremonial occasions, divisions night and any public engagements, you will learn to be "PROUD" of it.
Specialist Kit
This kit is issued as and when needed.
