Can you HELP!!!!!!!!!

520 Troop has been formed for over 9 years now, in that time we have given countless teenagers the chance to live & train the Royal Marine way.

This may surprise you but the Marine Cadets are not fully funded as much as you think by the Ministry of Defence, the staff are all volunteers and the organisation is a charity, to this end there are times when we rely on the charity of the general public to keep us going, this is one of these times.

We have a double dilemma at the moment. We are in the process of raising funds to move into a new unit which for two years we have not had. In so many words we have been like gypsies and relying on help from other Sea Cadet Units out of town, TA Centres and local churches but now we can see light at the end of the tunnel with a building for us within the town of Blackburn.

Our second dilemma is that our training equipment that we use for field training has also reached the end of its working life. To this effect, we now need to replace this equipment. As you can see from the list below, the cost to do this is not cheap as we need the right equipment to carry out the training to the high standard that is expected by the Corps and the Royal Marines.

Our aim is to supply each cadet with the basic equipment that they need to survive and train in the field under any weather conditions. As we are a military based youth organisation, the equipment we need, needs to be of high quality and of military issue for training purposes.
